Debra Griffin Vice President

Debra has been with Nationwide for 10 years and is currently the Vice President of Nationwide’s Securities Backed Lending organization. In this role, she serves as the President of SBL, LLC leading the effort to offer wealth clients beneficial solutions for lending products as a source of financing and liquidity. Previously, Debra held the position of Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for Nationwide Bank and has extensive experience in the financial services industry.

Debra has received numerous awards for her work in the banking industry including: Outstanding African American Woman in Financial Services by Urban Bankers and one of Ohio’s Most Powerful and Influential Women by the Ohio Diversity Council. Debra currently serves on the board of trustees and finance committee for CAPA (Columbus Association for the Performing Arts), and on the board of trustees for The Center for Healthy Families. She is the Executive Sponsor for the National Financial Community Engagement Council and a member of the Executive Steering Committee for Nationwide’s All Women’s Associate Resource Group. She is also a proud member of the African American Women’s Associate Resource Group (AWARE).

Debra received her Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and completed her graduate studies at the University of Virginia.
